On Tuesday, at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C., a 737 jet carrying the First Lady was told to abort it's landing. What happened was an air traffic controller mess up - because there was not enough space between the plane carrying Michelle Obama and a military plane that landed right before her jet.
There were no injuries and all that really happened was that Michelle Obama's jet was delayed a short time before it finally landed without incident. More than likely, today's miscommunications at Andrews Air Force Base would not have even made news - except for the fact that the FAA has been condemned recently, because air traffic controllers have been sleeping on the job.
