It is unlikely that the Grand Old Party (GOP) will unseat President Obama in the 2012 election. However, there is still a huge amount of time remaining before Americans go to the polls and quite frankly anything could happen between now and then. The worst of all worlds for President Obama would be for the United States of America to fall back into a deep recession just as his reelection campaign begins in 2012. When Barack Obama won the first time, the US economy was failing fast - while President Bush seemed asleep at the wheel. That same scenario could happened to President Obama right before November of 2012 and if it does he could find a second term as President slip right through his hands.

Obama Reelection Looking Better All The Time
Even with most Americans telling pollsters that they do not approve of the job Barack Obama is doing as President of the United States, the GOP has yet to field a viable candidate who could defeat him in the next election. Right now, the number one GOP candidate in the polls is billionaire and sell promoting kingpin Donald Trump. Every week Mr. Trump stays in this race is one week lost to a real Republican candidate who could defeat President Obama in 2012. Sadly, for Republicans, their political party is in worse shape then President Obama's right now.

I am surprised that the GOP has not found a strong candidate for the 2012 presidential election. Of course, there's still time.
